A Neale & Co. solid blue jasper part tea service, circa 1790, sprigged in white relief with white classical figures above an ozier engine-turned lower section, comprising: an oval teapot, cover and stand; a slop bowl; an oval sugar box; an oval milk jug and six cups and saucers, some stamped NEALE & Co , some pieces with various paper collection & exhibition labels Cf. Diana Edwards, Neale Pottery and Porcelain (1987), p.'s 92 & 93. Also Edwards & Hampson, English Dry-Bodied Stoneware (1998), p. 157, fig. 224. Provenance: Some pieces from the Dr. & Mrs. Leonard S.
