Robert Treat Paine an original signer of the Declaration of Independence, dated indictment letter against David White about theft. (There is also a scribble of the word - Guilty - on the bottom below the signature of Jacob French). With witness signatures including Captain John Shaw. Dated 1778. Paine March 11, 1731 – May 11, 1814) was an attorney and representative of Massachusetts and served as an associate justice of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, the state's highest court. Measures 6 by 8 inches. Fine Condition.
Condition
