Notes: The set was published by Grant’s friend, Samuel Clemmons (Mark Twain) under the alias of his nephew, Charles L. Webster. Both volumes with numerous engravings, maps and tipped-in folding facsimile document in Volume 2.

Former library book with bookplate at front and checkout slip at back from the William Luther Cobb Library at Eckerd College in Saint Petersburg, Florida.
