Description
A lovely Egyptian glazed terracotta head of a pharaoh, Late Period, c. 664 - 30 BC, wearing cap crown and uraeus, his features handsome with light blue and black glaze remaining. H: 1 4/5 in (4.6cm). With old custom wood base. Ex-Pilar Muniz de Camahort, acquired in Cairo from R.M. Nahman in the 1950's; thence descent. Pilar Muniz de Camahort was married to Ricardo Muniz y Verdugo Minister Counselor in the Spanish Embassy to King Farouk and later President Nasser.
