Description
An Egyptian terracotta ‘Baubo’ or fecundity figure, Ptolemaic, 3rd – 2nd Century BC, in the form of a nude female wearing a rolled headdress, her hands holding her legs open wide to expose her genitals. Her facial features are nicely rendered with locks of hair descending onto her shoulder. Nicely detailed with light deposits. Ex Walnut Creek, CA private collection.
