Large Qing Dynasty YongLe Reign Period Chinese Sino-Tibetan gilt bronze and semi-precious stones inlaid Bodhisattva Buddha figure of Green Tara.
Cast in relaxed and at ease, the right hand is extended across the knee in the mudra of supreme generosity holding the stem of a lotus flower blossoming above the shoulder. The left hand is held at the heart in the mudra of blessing while holding the stem of a flower blossoming above the left shoulder. The hair is tied in a topknot with some falling loose, adorned with colorful semi-precious stones inlaid on the crown, precious jewels, earrings, necklaces and bracelets. She wears flowing silks and a lower garment of various patterns. In a relaxed posture with the right leg extended, the foot resting on a lotus cushion, the left drawn up, seated upon a double lotus throne. The underside marked with repoussed four flori-form petals of double vajra, and a centralize yin-yang symbol.

PROVENANCE:
The private collections of Earl Sorensen, based out of Atlanta, is known as a prominent Buddha collector. A International businessman whom trades with various Asian countries during the 1960s. On a business trip in Western China, he received a Buddha statue as gift from a monk. Since then, he has became fascinated with Buddhist artifacts and Eastern cultures. After many decades, Earl Sorensen has planned his retirement, and decided to pass his beloved collections to appreciate collectors. Earl Sorensen's collections can be found from Lot-55 through Lot-65, and from Lot-93 through Lot-110.

Over all in EXCELLENT condition. With normal anomalies in nature, missing some stones inlaid, sign of stressed surface, minor scratch & dents. Surface traced wear and or declined to gilding. some missing stones inlaid. Normal, consider ages and wear.
