Original 1/4 morocco spine discreetly laid on as rebacked with boards and endpapers renewed. Preface leaves with small stain to upper margin, one plate with title just shaved, some mild age-toning, overall quite clean, and a nice, Very Good example. **************************************** Being a 1875 facsimile reprint of the original 1801 edition. "Composed in the Christian tradition, The Magus was a farrago of Renaissance alchemy and natural and talismatic magic that fitted contemporary Gothic taste ...
