Southeast Asia, Thailand, Ban Chiang, ca. 300 BCE. A large, stunning bichrome pottery vessel, the body of a bulbous form with a flared rim on a concave curved, quasi-hemispheric foot, the surface covered with a mesmerizing decorative program of fine-line red swirls and waves over a cream-hued base. Quite elegant! Size: 7.375" W x 9.5" H (18.7 cm x 24.1 cm)
