NIPPON PORCELAIN TEXAS ROSE PAIR OF VASES, having high shoulders, wide base and hand-painted polychrome "Texas Rose" design on sides. Green and blue maple leaf and "Hand / Painted" marks on bases. Late 19th/early 20th century. 12 1/4" HOA.
Undamaged with wear to gilding mostly on outer rims, handles, and some raised design.
Literature: Design similar to the "Texas Rose Pattern" as in Van Patten - ABC's of Collecting Nippon Porcelain, p. 214.
