Description
attributed to Worcester, bearing the motto and coat-of-arms of Captain William Knox of Clonleigh, Ireland. Capt. Knox died in 1776, a Revolutionary War soldier, shot in error by one of his own men. The translation of the Latin motto is "I proceed and prosper".
