Paulina Komolova (Russian, 1916-2008) large oil on canvas painting depicting workers in a Russian Collective Farm gathering and stacking hay. Originally purchased at the L. P. Cline Gallery, Chattanooga, TN. Housed in a contemporary molded wood frame. Sight - 32 1/2" H x 45 1/2" W. Framed - 40" H x 52 1/2" W. Biography: Paulina Komolova was born in the Voronezh region. In 1929-1930 she studied the Art of Russia in the Armavir School of painting and drawing, which was united later with the Rostov Art School. She entered the Moscow Textile Institute in 1938, studying under Petr Petrovich Konchalovski for three years before her studies were disrupted by World War II; she graduated in 1946. She was also educated in the private studio of Petr Konchalovski. In 1964 Paulina entered the USSR Artist's union. From 1964 she was a participant in all regional and zonal exhibitions.
