Description
Native American, US Southwest, Ancestral Puebloan (Anasazi), ca. 1070 to 1130 CE. A pretty example of a diminutive seed jar with a Chaco black-on-white zigzag pattern in rings around its exterior. The jar has two tiny lugged handles that rise at an angle from the shoulder and a narrow neck with a slightly rolled rim. The zigzags may have been inspired by lightning or some other natural phenomenon in the dramatic landscape of the Southwest. Size: 4.55" W x 3.75" H (11.6 cm x 9.5 cm)
