Large carved wooden head rest from South Africa, Zululand , near the region of Pongola. This is a Huge headrest, likely for that on a man with status. The designs are simple but the age is obvious. The headrest measures 25 inches long x 5.5 inches tall.

Condition

Very well weathered and worn, note the weather decay on bottom edges
