Plate 1 to Selby's Illustrations of British Ornithology, Golden Eagle, Female; a hand colored engraving heightened in gum Arabic. Prideaux John Selby was a British artist who once took a lesson from Audubon and illustrated his own undertaking of two volumes of Illustrations of Ornithology. Titled above the image and numbered PLATE 1.
