Description
Oval shibuichi tsuba meticulously carved in low relief (kebori) with a design of travelling priest Saigio Hoshi with a big hat and a staff, walking in a creek behind a horse or an ox. On reverse: rice sheaves after harvest. Inlaid in high relief with copper and gold. Signed: Masaharu, with ka?.
