c. 1860’s Civil War Era & Related, Diverse Interesting Collection of Twelve (12) Separate Political & Social Items, Mainly Baltimore, Maryland, All Very Fine or Better.
This worthy, valuable and highly collectible group mostly comes together with historical information regarding each item. Collection of Twelve (12) Items includes:
1. c. 1863, 6” x 9.5”, Sheet Music “Slain at Baltimore!”, Published by A.W. Auner, N.W. Corner 8th and Market Sts., Philadelphia.
2. c. 1891, 4” x 6.25”, Cabinet Card image of General Edward F. Jones, Lt. Governor of New York 1886-1891. On April 19, 1861 as Colonel, Commanded th 6th Mass. Volunteers in it’s historic march through Baltimore and the place of the first blood shed in the Civil War.
3. 1866, (5) 3” x 1.5”, 5 Admission Tickets to Southern Charity Fair, and 1 - 6” x 3” Unused receipt to the Fair Journal.
4. April 1866-Dated, (2) Extremely Rare Printed black on silver Silk vignetted “Ladies Southern Relief Association Fair, Md. Institute, Baltimore”, 4” x 3.5” and 4.5” x 5”.
5. November 8, 1864-Dated, 2.75” x 8”, Paper Ballot, “Ohio Union Presidential Ticket For President, Abraham Lincoln, For Vice President, Andrew Johnson”. List of Electors at bottom.
6. October 1864-Dated, 7.75” x 9.75”, “First Indiana Sanitary Fair” Certificate of Appreciation. Indianapolis Indiana.
