Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A cast bronze figure of a goat standing on a two-tiered plinth. The goat has a muscular body and a naturalistic form. Goats were associated with the god Pan, and this figure may have been a votive, designed to be given as an offering. Size: 1.5" W x 1.5" H (3.8 cm x 3.8 cm)
