STAMPED "MT. CRAWFORD / VA", SHENANDOAH VALLEY OF VIRGINIA STONEWARE CANNER, salt-glazed, approximately one-quart capacity, semi-ovoid form with flared cork mouth and incised ring below the plain rim. The shop of George W. Duey (1831-1903) and James Madison Shinnick (1813-1881). 1870-1880. 8 1/4" H, 2 3/4" D rim.
