Description

DESCRIPTION: TThomas Barr, Lamarck tall case clock. Eight day bell strike movement. Fourteen inch painted metal dial with Roman numerals, seconds and date, brass hands. Young ladies to corners with painted scene to the arch depicting "Death of the Stag" after Edwin Henry Landseer (British, 1802-1873). Signed "Thos. Barr Lamarck." Circa 1820-1830. Mahogany case with good flame veneers to both convex trunk door and base. Inlaid cartouche with urn design to center of door. Carved top with pine cone finial. With weights and pendulum. MEASUREMENTS: 18" wide x 9" deep x 89" high. CONDITION: Crack to glass. Over painting to painted scene to arch.
