East Asia, China, late Sui Dynasty to early Tang Dynasty, ca. late 6th to early 7th century CE A pair of ceramic figures, man and woman, with a pale green, smooth glaze over their pink-pigmented surfaces. These figures were made to be placed into a tomb and probably represent courtiers, with their well-detailed clothing giving us a good idea of how elite people dressed during this time period.
