attributed to LOUIS COMFORT TIFFANY (American 1848-1933) AN UNUSUAL FAVRILE GLASS HANDLE WITH STERLING SILVER CUFF, CORONA, NEW YORK, CIRCA 1900, of tear drop form in yellow/gold glass with layered feather-like decoration in opalescent light to dark blue, with later American sterling silver cuff stamped "STERLING." Height: 6" Diameter: 1 3/8" NOTE: It has been suggested that this piece was originally intended as a walking stick or parasol handle, or possibly as a desk accessory handle destined for a magnifying glass or wax seal. Provenance: Estate of Laura Gerow Bramlette, heiress of Morton D. May and the Mays Department Store fortune.
Condition
In overall good condition with very minor rubbing and scratching to the Favrile glass surfaces.
