**First Time At Auction**
Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A fine cast-bronze ring with a thin band, thick shoulders, and a wide, ovoid bezel. The top of the bezel displays an incised depiction of a stylized horse with its left front and right rear legs raised in an elegant pose, with a muscular body, a bushy tail, and a raised head with perky ears. Covered in rich green patina, this is a wonderful and wearable example of ancient Roman artistry! Amethyst fragment for photography purposes only. Size: 0.875" W x 0.95" H (2.2 cm x 2.4 cm); US ring size 9.25.

Condition
Wearable as shown. Very slight bending to band and overall form, with light softening to some incised details, otherwise intact and very good. Light earthen deposits within incised details, and great green patina throughout.
