Judaica Azriel Awret (Russian / Israeli, 1910-2010) and Irene Awret (Belgian / Israel, 1921-2014) Awret, incised, painted and glazed ceramic plaque, Judaica, of an exotic bird, pomegranate, and flowers, signed "Awret" lower right corner, inscribed in Hebrew on the reverse; the couple, who met in a WWII concentration camp, were founding members of the Safed Artists' Colony in Israel, and their works are on public display at George Mason College and other universities.
