East Asia, China, Late Neolithic period, ca. 2000 BCE. A small bronze axe head with a socketed hafting end, a gently tapering neck, a broad head, and flared blade tips. Thick layers of earthen material, along with pale and verdant green patina, envelop the surface. Size: 3.875" H (9.8 cm).
