Elvis Presley's Black Maglite Flashlight Found in Briefcase Given to Charlie Hodge W/(2) LOAs - This black Maglite flashlight was personally owned by Elvis Presley, and is in working condition. It is said that had Elvis not grown up to be the King of Rock n' Roll he would have likely been a police officer, as he had a great deep respect for law enforcement and as a young boy wanted to grow up to be an officer. He collected police badges and equipment, and was also made a Shelby County Chief Deputy when he was deputized under Sheriff Bill Morris on December 28, 1970. This flashlight was obtained from Charlie Hodge and Ed Hill of the Stamps Quartet who sold them to collector Mike Moon along with Elvis' personal briefcase which was carried by Hodge on trips and on tour. The flashlight will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from the original sale to Moon signed by Charlie Hodge and Ed Hill and dated March 21, 1982. The piece will also be accompanied by a second letter of authenticity from "EP Archives" of Las Vegas, Nevada, indicating that the offered piece was among the items purchased from the Mike Moon collection in 2018.
