A Chinese export porcelain tea caddy, 18th/19th century. Together with a pink-glazed porcelain bottle vase; tea caddy with a wood stand. (2).
H: 5 1/2 in. (vase)
PROVENANCE:
Vase: Cole Galleries, Ltd., New York
Acquired December 25, 1939 (as Yongzheng).
Both: Property from the Collection of Dr. Frederic and Mrs. Madeleine Zeman.
Thence by descent to the present owner.
Condition
Tea caddy: two hairline cracks to the neck, lacking cover; pink-glazed: repair to the neck, small black dot at shoulder.
