Description
A wonderful Egyptian blue beaded pectoral net, Late Period, c. 664 - 30 BC, comprised of primarily vibrant blue faience tube beads interspaced with disk beads. The original beads are beautifully restrung into the net with modern cord. Beaded nets, pectoral and similar types were quite popular within burials of this period. 27 in x 6 in Ex estate of Maria (Lila) Decatur Mayo Deyo Garnett, niece of Ruth Deyo; Ex collection of Ruth Deyo, acquired early-mid 1900's. Mrs. Deyo was a world-renowned musician and personality, well-known for her appreciation of Egyptian culture.
