First Edition.

Livingstone's classic account of his earlier travels and explorations in Africa, with an account of the Tsetse fly. This copy includes the large folding map that is loose in the rear endpaper pocket. The so-called "Presentation Edition" made available to Murray's favoured customers (although the first owner of this copy is not identified) as a promotion for the publication.

Condition

Rebacked, some wear and staining to covers; front hinge cracked after page 16, rear hinge reinforced, some toning and offsetting to pages; overall about very good.
