Cotton"26th of July"Â flag, 71 x 34 in., commemorating Fidel Castro's revolutionary attack on the Santiago de Cuba army barracks against the Fulgencio Batista dictatorship. The flag bears the white lettering"M - 26 - 7"Â in the center, stitched onto two separate stripes of red and black. The hoist, constructed of an additional strip of white canvas, bears two metal grommets for suspension from a flagpole. Minor spots of black staining throughout, some adhesive residue, else very good. Construction appears to be absolutely contemporary. Sold with a 26th of July armband, 9.25 x 3.5 in. overall, constructed of two separate stripes of red and black fabric sewn at the center with the white lettering"FON 26"Â stitched over top. The four corners bear 8.25 in. fabric cords, used for tying the band around the wearer's upper arm. Some adhesive residue on the reverse, else fine. Sold as is.
