Musical Automaton with Girl Blowing Bubbles by Roullet et Decamps, c. 1910
With Simon & Halbig bisque head incised "Germany, 4 ½". Open mouth, fixed threaded blue glass eyes, pierced ears, original full brown mohair wig (not removed for inspection), bisque hands holding a pewter bowl and a hollow brass wand, dressed in original cream satin costume trimmed with lace, ribbons and metallic floral braid, velvet-covered base containing going-barrel motor, bellows and single-air cylinder musical movement, ht. 18 in. (46 cm), working condition, head movement inactive, not tested with soapy water. With size 10 steel key. - The girl dips her wand into a soapy solution, lifts it to her lips, raises her head and blows bubbles via the bellows in the base. - A scarce and ingenious Roullet et Decamps automaton, with pretty bisque head and attractive original presentation. - Provenance: Collection of José Mario Armero.

Biskuitporzellan-Puppenkopf von Simon & Halbig, geprägt mit "Germany, 4 ½". Offener Mund, feststehende blaue Glasaugen, durchstochene Ohrläppchen, braune Original-Mohairperücke (nicht zur Kontrolle entfernt), Hände aus Biskuitporzellan mit einer Zinnschale und einem hohlen Messingstab, gekleidet in cremefarbenes Original-Satinkostüm mit Spitze, Bändern und metallischer floraler Borke, samtüberzogener Sockel mit Federwerkmotor, Blasebalg und Walzenspielwerk mit einer Melodie, Gesamthöhe 46 cm, funktioniert. Kopfbewegung inaktiv, nicht mit Seifenwasser getestet. Mit Stahlschlüssel Größe 10. - Das Mädchen taucht seinen Zauberstab in eine Seifenlösung, bewegt ihn an die Lippen, hebt den Kopf und bläst Seifenblasen. - Ein seltener und genialer Automat von Roullet et Decamps, mit hübschem Kopf und attraktiver Original-Kleidung. - Provenienz: Sammlung von José Mario Armero.
