This cotton 20's/30's deco fans quilt is hand and machine pieced and hand quilted, with all solid colors, a complex variation of an unusual design known simply as "rainbow." The quilt came out of Ponca City, Oklahoma. It measures a generous 78" X 94" and is in excellent, never washed condition, with a couple of small, faint spots and no wear. There is quilting around the piecework and in chain link designs in the background, all at an even 6-7 stitches to the inch with faint pencil marks still visible in places. The back and machine stitched, rolled binding are the same unbleached muslin used in the background, and the batting is thin.
