Vintage Hawaii Tiki carved coconut, drift wood and sea shells, hand painted.

By extension, a tiki is a large or small wooden or stone carving in humanoid form, although this is a somewhat archaic usage in the Maori language. Carvings like tikis and coming to represent deified ancestors are found in most Polynesian cultures.

Hawaiian Tiki statues represent the many Tiki gods in Hawaiian and Polynesian mythology. They are carved from wood or stone and are most common in Central Eastern Polynesia. ... The tiki head is c.11.1/2" [c.29.2cm] long, c.5"–7" [c.12.7cm-17.7cm] across, it is in a very good vintage condition. The brass hook on top appears to be new.
