Cotton 1850'/1860's red and white hearts quilt, hand appliqued and hand quilted with medallion/album configuration. It measures 68" X 68" and is in excellent condition, with a couple of small, faint spots and no wear. The quilting is superb, with close straight line and feathered designs quilted throughout at an even 10-11 stitches to the inch. The back is white, the hand stitched binding is the same solid turkey red used in the interior, and the batting is thin. You can see cotton seed residue inside when you hold the quilt up to the light.
