Description
A wonderful Egyptian green glazed ushabti, Late Period, Dynasty 30, c. 380 - 343 BC, depicted mummiform on integral base with plinth at back, wearing tripartite wig with false beard, arms folded at chest and holding a pick and hoe, basket in low relief over left shoulder and T-Style inscription on front of body and legs. Fantastic detail as is often found with ushabtis from this period. H: 5 1/2 in (14 cm). Well-preserved, three old holes in base from a previous base. Ex collection of Ivor Noel Hume acquired at M. Hassani Abd-El-Galeel, Winter Palace Building, Luxor, 1974.
