Thangka of Dharmapala Hayagriva, Tibet, c.20th century, gouache on natural canvas which appears to have been laid-down upon an older piece of cotton, 24.25 x 18 inches, unframed, central figure of the wrathful red protector Hayagriva emanating flames, on lotus base, Buddha at upper center, warrior on horses at all four corners, landscape in background. This is likely a 20th century piece laid-down on an older piece of backing cotton.

Some staining and abrasions, vertical stitch down center, heavy signs of use in some places, paint flaking off.
