Description
A Byzantine bronze oil lamp filler, c. 5th - 6th Century AD, with deep rounded bowl, long channeled spout curved downward, projection to either side and a zoomorphic handle at back in the form of a bird, three prong feet on bottom. L: 3 1/8 x 2 1/8 in (7.8 x 5.4 cm). Nicely patinated. Ex Arthur M. Sackler collection; Ex Los Angeles private collection.
