Description
REMMEY FAMILY, PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA STONEWARE VESSELS, LOT OF TWO, salt-glazed, comprising an approximately half-gallon jug with strap handle stamped "R. C. R. / PHILA." at base, and an approximately one-gallon ovoid jar with arched grooved handles and pronounced foot, brown slip-glazed interior. Jar featuring brushed cobalt horizontal double flower decoration to each side and additional cobalt at neck and handles. Richard C. Remmey and The Remmey Pottery, Philadelphia, PA. 1860-1880. 9 1/2" and 10 1/2" H.
