Two English Tortoiseshell Serpentine-Front Jewelry Cases

ca. 1900, the interiors lined with velvet, raised on turned bun feet.
h. 1-1/2" to 1-3/4", w. 5-1/2" to 5-3/4", d. 2-3/4" to 3-3/4"

Condition

Both are in overall very good condition with no visible losses; both have a few tiny (1/8" to 1/16") cracks near the hinges on the backs, and some light scuffs/scratches. The thinner example has notable threadbare-wear to its fabric lining and a few of the feet have glue repairs.
