Description
**First Time At Auction**

Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A hand-built earthenware vessel with a bulbous body that rises to a gently flared tubular neck and a wide mouth. The surface is graced with wonderful smoke clouds that contrast beautifully with the orange terracotta and blend into the black-painted base. Size: 5.2" W x 5.45" H (13.2 cm x 13.8 cm)

Provenance: private Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA collection; ex-Minerva Gallery; ex-Benjamin Vega, California, USA, acquired in 2006 to 2007; ex-Gene and Virginia George, brought to the USA from 1961 to 1966
