Exceptional piece of history Daimyo family wakizashi with 2 body cutting test.
Wakizashi with 2 body test Edo Kanei period（1624－1645).
The maker name, Yamashiro no kami Fujiwara Kunikiyo
Test cut is two body at the chest and the owners name Inaba Izumo no kami 稲葉 出雲 守
at this Daimyo’s castle by his employee.
Yamashiro no kami Fujiwara Kunikiyo school continues to fourth generation.
It is hard to distinguish those of first generation and second generation however, this piece
seems to be first generation signature
The jigane seems to be similar to those of Hizen but is darker and the hada pattern
is clearer.
It is masterpiece of Kunikiyo.
Blade is 404 grams and cutting edge is 46.5 cm
using foreign steel Dutch imported steel for Daimyo
Koshirea is made in 1845
