Chinese Guan-Type Hu Vase, Qianlong Mark. The pear-shaped body rising from a rectangular foot to a quatrefoil rim, set with a pair of lug handles bound in metal, the body molded with a raised peach-shaped panel on either side, applied overall with a pale grayish-blue glaze suffused with a matrix of dark gray crackle, the recessed base with a six-character mark in underglaze blue. {Height: 12 5/8 inches (32 cm)}.
