Since 1870 Main Auction Galleries Inc. has grown from a small family business to a nationally recognized Auction House. We are located in the finest area of downtown Cincinnati, within 3 blocks of all major hotels and restaurants. Our building comprises over 40,000 square feet, with our first floor being both our showroom and auction floor. Our reputation for honesty, integrity and professionalism is known not only in this region but nationally as well as worldwide. We work closely with attorneys, executors, trust officers, institutions, organizations, private consignors as well as individuals. We both appraise and liquidate estates and homes throughout the United States. We have provided the highest quality merchandise to local, national and international individuals for the past 139 years. We have a full time staff each being an expert in their respective fields.

Main Auction Galleries is pleased to present The Collector's Cabinet, an eclectic specialty auction featuring an exceptional selection of collectible tobacco pipes, fine jewelry, watches, tobacciana and gentleman's accessories. At the heart of the sale is the personal pipe collection of Dr. Michael E. Porter, a lifelong enthusiast whose appreciation for fine pipes extended far beyond their use. Dr. Porter worked at The Tinder Box in Columbus before purchasing The Tinder Box in Cleveland and later working at The Pipe Rack in Cleveland. He developed a deep appreciation for the craftsmanship, design and history of pipe making, with a particular fascination for the origin, character and grain of the woods used, especially briar. His collection reflects that passion and includes an extensive selection of Dunhill pipes, with desirable Shell Briar, Root Briar, Tanshell, Red Bark and oversized ODA examples, alongside pipes by Castello, Charatan, Barling, Sasieni, Comoy's, Savinelli, Ser Jacopo and other respected makers. The auction also features tobacco advertising tins and accessories, Dunhill lighters, writing instruments, collectible watches and a selection of fine jewelry, including gold, platinum and diamond pieces. Main Auction Galleries are Great to work with

Great Auction house to work with
