Pushkins is an independent auction house and antiques gallery founded by Alexander Pushkin, specializing in fine antiques, silver, jewelry, works of art, furniture and distinctive collectables.
Established in 2013 at Grays Antiques Centre in Mayfair, Pushkins built its reputation through a carefully curated selection of English, European and Oriental silverware, later expanding into a broad range of fine and decorative antiques.
In 2021, Pushkins relocated to a historic Victorian premises in Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, where its gallery now showcases an extensive and continually evolving collection.

Pushkins - The House Sale (TIMED AUCTION)
A timed auction works much like bidding on eBay, where you can place bids right up until the moment the lot closes. The sale is already live and bids are coming in. There is, however, one key difference. If a lot is set to end at 19.00 and a new highest bid is placed between 18.55 and 19.00, the closing time will automatically extend by five minutes. The previous top bidder will receive an email alert, and everyone taking part in the auction can continue bidding if they wish. This prevents anyone from gaining an advantage by swooping in at the last second. All bidding is handled electronically rather than by an auctioneer. Your full maximum bid is only used if someone later bids one increment below it or matches your top bid. In that case, the earlier bidder takes priority. The simplest approach with timed auctions is to enter the highest amount you?re comfortable with right from the start.
