Description
Mit Fix-Fokus Anastigmat Elinar 1:4.5/50 mm No. 12053.
Almost unknown Italian camera made from aluminium for use with 35 mm film. An interesting detail is the curved, rotating metal curtain shutter, positioned immediately behind the lens - unlike more common shutter designs with the shutter positioned close to the film. According to collectors and experts such as Ettore De Rossi and Gianni Pignat, approximately 100 castings of the camera body were made, but only 10 cameras were actually completed and assembled from them. The reasons for the limited production lie in an number of structural issues, that prevented the camera from being mass-produced. Currently, only two of these prototypes are known to exist.
With fixed focus Anastigmat Elinar 50 mm f/4.5 No. 12053.
