A stamped eagle device that originally came off a Third Reich SS gorget, an example of the officer/NCO breast-worn dress accessory used by the SS. The eagle is depicted in the standard mobile-swastika form typical of German military and paramilitary insignia of the period. This example is a rare survivor of what was itself an uncommon piece of SS equipment.
