 ‘Metallisation of a Dream’ is a Rare and early concept Of Paolozzi’s ‘Chaotic;’ works from 1963. This period has been described as being one of his most creative and mind testing Periods. 
The title ‘Metallisation of a Dream’ was inspired during a period when ‘Paolozzi was Lecturing at the Hamburg University whilst contemplating man machines and technology and future change when objects would be made by automation, robots and machines.
The Art work itself is a ‘Stand-alone’ concept print which has synthesised a human figure into a machine for working to evoke, new associations ie a Man Machine. 
This geometric human form is a one-off ARTISTS DRAFT for inclusion to the published version of the 63 page The ‘Metalisation of a Dream’ published by Unicorn Press in 1963.
This is a rare one sided Artists concept screenprint, an archival prototype piece and of quality. 
A complete works of ‘Metallisation of a Dream’ text and picture plates are hard to procure in its complete form, the prints are two sided and glossy and often salvaged.
Crucially Paolozzi came to embrace technology rather than perceiving it as a demon to be feared, he lectured extensively on how popular culture and science should inform sculpture. His sculptures and art often described as ‘totems for the technological age’.
