
Description
1) 69 caliber cartridge box with a lead filled brass "US" in oval plate on the front. Box is marker's marked on inside flap and is complete with interior tins. One iron buckle on the base is detached, but present inside the box. 2) US M1864 cartridge box with impressed "US" in oval on the front. There is a US sub-inspector's mark in the lower right hand corner of the front flap. Interior tins present. Both buckles are on the base, but the securing tab is broken. 3) A militia cartridge box with a tarred leather finish. Box has a single interior tin. There are two small enlisted eagle buttons on the back for use with a cloth over the shoulder strap. Securing tab is not present. CONDITION: cartridge boxes generally show ample use, but are complete and serviceable except where noted above. (02-26078/BF). NON-GUN. $500-750.
