Cover written and signed by Archdeacon Robert Walker of the Church Missionary Society, addressed to his brother in London, franked Uganda 1896 4a cancelled in British East Africa by "MACHAKOS" squared circle, backstamped at Mombassa (Dec 20), Zanzibar and London. The stamp disallowed in B.E.A., handstamped 'T' with a 5d charge mark applied in the London Foreign Branch.Ê Minor repairs but an exceptional cover, we have only recorded one other cover with a Uganda typeset stamp cancelled in B.E.A., which was also disallowed and charged as unpaid.
