Royal - A Cartier black crocodile skin wallet, the outer with an applied French gold tablet inscribed with a D beneath a coronet and numbered 2491, opening to reveal a gilt impressed inscription:

'To Eric, from Wallis and Edward, Christmas 1954', this could be Edwards friend William Humble Eric Ward, Third Earl of Dudley, affectionately known amongst friends as Eric.
