Title: Panama/Canal Zone 1924 Description:
This envelope was originally prepared as a 10 cent Registered envelope for the Canal Zone, for some reason it was rejected. Printed in black and red on a strong linen envelope, this is Higgins & Gage No C2. From the small office of Almirante with 5c Independence centenary stamp added, this envelope has Bocas Del Toro and New Orleans transits and Topoka, Kansas arrival postmark. A very scarce stationery item.
